In October, The Resurrection Project will celebrate two decades of major achievement in the Pilsen community.
During those 20 years, The Resurrection project has been a tour de force in areas such as education, economic expansion, immigration and community organization.
The Resurrection Project is best known for its housing initiatives. Their programs have focused on creative financing, affordable home ownership and housing for the elderly.
The housing programs have been so successful that major cities across the United States use The Resurrection Project programs as a benchmark for success.
Over the years, Pilsen has evolved into a dynamic center of culture and commerce and the rest of Chicago has noticed this hard-fought battle for Pilsen’s pride.
Efforts are underway to attract visitors and tourists to the community. Pilsen has a message for neighboring communities: Come to our community and see what we’ve accomplished.
